Upgrade Group
Use this widget to list all Upgrade Groups that have been created under Operations - System Upgrade:
Displays the following information about a specific upgrade group:
- State: Indicates whether the Upgrade Group is activated or if it is a Draft
- Name: The name of the Upgrade Group
- Upgrade Policy ID: The policy object ID to be used in this group
- Executions: Indicates whether the Execution is an upgrade or prestage and if the Schedule is the Execution Date, per Count or Recurrence.
- Component Versions: Target version of the selected component. Each component will be upgraded to the specified version.
- Upgrade Options: Indicates whether the Upgrade Group behavior should be overridden.
- System Selectors: The criteria for selecting the systems to be included.
Filter Upgrade Groups with Name and/or Selector
List Upgrade Groups with the filters: name and/or selector.
Add Upgrade Group
To add a new Upgrade Group, click on Add Upgrade Group:
Basic Information
- Name: Object’s name. The Object name cannot be renamed.
- State:
- Draft: A draft Upgrade Group is an inactive definition. When created as a draft, its executions will not be scheduled. When turned into a draft, all its executions are cancelled.
- Active: An active Upgrade Group has all executions immediately scheduled, when created as or switched to
- Upgrade Policy ID:
- All Upgrade Group policies available will be listed.
- It is possible to create an Upgrade Policy with default values using this field. Type the name of the Upgrade Policy that must be created, then click on the label that it is going to appear with the following text, “create upgrade policy
”, and finally confirm the creation in the modal that will be shown.
- Components Versions: The components are available to upgrade. WRCP, Kubernetes and Trident upgrade are available
- Upgrade Options:
- Force: Specifies whether to force the workflow execution in case there is already a running execution
System Selectors

System Selectors: Desired labels to filter System Inventories objects. Users can set a custom-label in System Inventory and type the key and value as a selector.
WARNING:
- System Inventory’s to be selected, MUST have all the labels selected. See System Inventory for more information.
- Custom labels cannot mistype, otherwise Upgrade Group Manager will not select System Inventories correctly
Executions
- Executions:
- Execution: Select desired workflow (pre-stage or upgrade)
- Now: When set as True, will immediately run
- Schedule Type: Select schedule type (range or interval)
- Range: The executions will run during a specific period of time (Example: if the execution date is from 2025-01-15 16:00 until 2025-01-23 17:00). The start date must be in the future.
- Interval: The executions will run in a specify time frame (Example: Monday to Friday from 00:00 to 06:00)
- Execution date: Date and time of start and end, can’t be a data in the past
- Count: How many times the workflow will run (This parameter is available only if Execution is not upgrade)
- Recurrence: The frequency of executions, every day, every hour and so on (This parameter is available only if Execution is not upgrade)
- Unit: Unit for the recurrence minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years (This parameter is available only if Execution is not upgrade)
Settings
Refresh time interval
- The time interval in which the widget’s data will be refreshed, in seconds. Default: 10 seconds.List of fields to show in the table
- List of columns to be shown in list of upgrade group table. By default all columns are visible.
